EXHIBITION

Immersions

A photographic exhibition by Rodolphe Guignard

From October 4th to 27th
on the garden gates

Diving into the seas and oceans with a camera opens a window on the world's largest ecosystem, where nature displays its sublime diversity without limits. From Egypt to Mexico, from South Africa to Greece, via West Papua and the Sultanate of Oman, Rodolphe Guignard collects breathtaking images. Spontaneous and authentic, he lets nature express its magic. By showing the illuminated delicacy of coral reefs, the quiet power of humpback whales, the curiosity of sharks and the nuptial dances of squid, the photographer invites the viewer to share his desire to explore a natural heritage that is becoming more and more fragile due to overfishing, global warming and various types of pollution. "Immersions" is an invitation to wonder, as well as a call to a wise awareness of the need to preserve the marine world.

A guided tour of the exhibition is planned with the photographer during the festival.

EXHIBITION

Alexandra David-Néel « La femme aux semelles de vent »

Alexandra David-Néel "The woman with soles of wind"
In the form of an immersive and playful exhibition, staged and narrated by Céline Moulys
Who will plunge visitors into the bath of the great voyages of the explorer.

From Monday 11 to Tuesday 13 October 2021
at the Cellier de Clairvaux - 27 boulevard de la Trémouille - Dijon

Free admission, open to the general public:
11 October from 17:00 to 19:00 - 12 October from 16:30 to 19:00 - 13 October from 14:00 to 17:00

"Imagine... You are in Samten Dzong, the house where Alexandra David-Néel gathered all her memories and where, for 22 years after her last trip, she worked hard to write most of the numerous books in her bibliography, based on her notes and experiences. It was 1969, the last year of her life. She was 101 years old..."
This is how Céline Moulys presents the documentary installation she is dedicating to Alexandra David-Néel and which will be installed at the Cellier de Clairvaux from 11 to 13 October 2021, as part of the 30th edition of the Dijon Adventure Screens. An immersive and playful exhibition, to dive into the life of this "monument of exploration, freethinker, anarchist and revolutionary, a passionate orientalist and, above all, an independent woman," introduces the scenographer.
On the menu, the reconstruction of the two rooms where Alexandra David-Néel spent the last years of her life. An office and a bedroom, filled with objects evoking her decades of travel. A prayer wheel, butter lamps, Tibetan masks, Himalayan jewellery, photos, maps and a library... A set accessible in the form of a self-guided visit or an accompanied escape game, aimed at the youngest. The important thing, for Céline Moulys, lies in the experience. Because "whether it's on a trip, in an installation or at a festival, it's the experience that imprints memories."

EXHIBITION

Et le loup continue de courir dans les forêts d'Alaska

"And the wolf continues to run in the forests of Alaska" A photographic exhibition by Antonin Charbouillot

From 11 October to 8 November 2021
at the Chapelle des Élus de l'Office de Tourisme - 11 rue des Forges - Dijon

Admission is free and open to the general public

This exhibition is an intense immersion in the remote regions of Yukon and Alaska, in search of the bear and the wolf: photographs and snippets of wild stories captured over four years are an ode to this untamed nature where the bear and the wolf are still masters of the place. For several years, Antonin Charbouillot's work has aimed at capturing inspiring stories and promoting nature conservation through his photographs. He is a photographer and explorer specialising in the far north. Passionate about the great outdoors and the last wild frontiers, he has a deep connection to the North which leads him to work frequently in Alaska, Scandinavia and Canada. His photographic work is inspired by the writings of Jack London, David Henry Thoreau and Jon Krakauer.

Le Tour du monde en 20 jours
(The Mission : The Great Balloon Race)

"Out Of Frame"
Realization: Jeremy Cross et Florence Tran (for the french version)
Production: Gosh! Films, Télévision Suisse Romande and GEDEON Programmes
Great Britain – 52 minutes – 1999 - Out of competition
Dijon Youth Award and, for Bertrand Piccard, Golden Fleece of the Adventurer of the Year 1999

Originally, it was a dream considered impossible: to fly around the Earth, without engine or rudder, simply pushed by the winds. The media saw it as the last great adventure of the century. Richard Branson and Steve Fossett tried, but failed. After two unsuccessful attempts, on 1 March 1999, Bertrand Piccard, accompanied by the Briton Brian Jones, made history by successfully completing the first round-the-world balloon flight.

With the exceptional participation of Bertrand Piccard for 30 minutes of exchange with the public by video conference
